Many of you will be receiving the Music OCLC Users Group Newsletter this
week.  Serials librarians will be scratching their heads because the
title "Newsletter" was inadvertently left off, so it says "Music OCLC
Users Group" instead of "Music OCLC Users Group Newsletter".  This is not
a title change.  It is just a slight aberration and the Newsletter should
return to normal with the next issue.  Please accept my apology for the
confusion.

While I have your attention, I would like to announce the publication of
the 5th ed. of The Best of MOUG, published by the Music OCLC Users Group.
This book contains Library of Congress Name Authority File records, current
to Jan. 1994 for the major composers, English cross references for the major
Slavic composers, RV and F. indexes for Vivaldi, a Bach BWV index and  a
Mozart K. number index.  It's an excellent tool for catalogers and public
service librarians because it can be kept at a desk, card catalog or online

I would also like to announce that there will be a joint meeting of
MOUG and OLAC in Oak Brook, IL (just outside Chicago) Oct. 5-8, 1994.
This promises to be an exciting conference with workshops on interactive
multimedia cataloging, videorecording cataloging, computer files cataloging,
format intergration, map cataloging, sound recordings cataloging, subject and
genre access fo films and videorecording, an internet overview and automated
authority control.  Workshops will be led by OCLC representatives and
experts in the various fields.  MOUG and OLAC members will be receiving
registration materials in June.  Non-members can get further information
