***THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN CROSS-POSTED TO VARIOUS LISTS. PLEASE EXCUSE
ANY DUPLICATION***
We are organizing a program for the meeting of the Copy Cataloging
Discussion Group at the annual ALA conference in Miami. The topic of
the program is CONSER, and how its success has changed staffing patterns
in cataloging departments. We are looking for speakers, including: 1.
someone who has had long-term involvement with CONSER, and who can
discuss its history, and his/her experiences with CONSER; and 2. an
individual from a small or medium-sized library who can discuss how
CONSER has made it possible for serials cataloging to be done by copy
catalogers, rather than serials librarians.
If you are interested in volunteering as a speaker, or would like to
suggest names of individuals, please contact me (Mary Beth Fecko,
fecko@zodiac.rutgers.edu) or the Chair, Cecilia Sercan
(css4cornell.edu).
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Mary Beth Fecko
