Can anyone out there give me some advice/thoughts on the best way to
maintain detailed holdings for microfiche?  I would appreciate
information on manual record keeping or in a computer holdings
database.  I would like to know if the number of fiche which comprise
a volume should be recorded, for instance V.1,1993 (7 pieces).  I
would imagine that fiche volumes that are barcoded are just that, the
volume and not each piece comprising the volume.

I have studied the ANSI serial holdings statements at the summary
level but have not been successful in finding ANSI statements for
detailed holdings.

Any information on detailed holdings for any type of microform will be
most appreciated.
