                              Tuesday, May 10
                   Electronic Journals and the Modern Library
*  Full-day Workshop.  Conquer the "Information Explosion" with easy-to-adapt
   strategies for the successful integration of electronic journal
   acquisitions, collection development, storage and access in your library.
   Led by Marilyn Geller, Serials Cataloger, MIT Libraries.
     AMIGOS Members: $95/$85 early.

                               Wednesday, May 11
         Telecommunications and Information:  The Commercial Perspective
*  Morning General Session.  Telecommunication industry experts will present
   perspective on the emerging information superhighway and the relationships
   between commercial and publicly funded organizations in the information
   infrastructure.  Larry Learn, Director of Technical Planning, OCLC, will
   provide an overview of the industry, economic issues and the regulatory
   environment.  Representing the commercial sector, Warren Gifford, Executive
   Director, Bellcore, will discuss trends, business straegies and research
   and development activities.  AMIGOS Members: $95/$85 early.

*  Afternoon Small Group Sessions include contract cataloging strategies and
   basics, collection analysis, OCLC telecommunications,  OCLC reference
   services, PRISM ILL, document delivery, Preservation Services and
   Automation Alley.

*  A Member Reception will include complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cash bar.

                            Thursday, May 12
*  Morning Membership Meeting agenda includes Board of Trustees elections
   and approval of annual membership fees. Participate in this introductory
   opportunity whereby AMIGOS Board, staff and members determine Plan 2000,
   the strategic direction for AMIGOS through the Year 2000.

                         Achieving Breakthrough Service

*  Register with AMIGOS for this special event!  AMIGOS proudly serves as
   organizer for the American Library Association teleseminar - a national
   forum customer service.  The four-hour program will demonstrate how
   outstanding service can create impressive gains in customer satisfaction
   and higher levels of customer a community support.  Lunch will be provided.`

         Creativity and TQM: Implementing Change in Libraries
*  Morning Workshop.  Back by popular demand, Brenda Branch, Director, Austin
   Library, provides no)nonsense people strategies for generating involvement
   and enthusiasm in your library.  AMIGOS Members: $85/$60 early.

               Exhibit Basics for Libraries and Archives
*  Afternoon Workshop.  Learn simple and economical techniques for displaying
   institution's prized possessions.  Led by Kenneth Lavender, Curator, Rare
   Books Texana Collections, University of North Texas Libraries.  AMIGOS
   Members: $50/$40 early.
