Is there a listserv for electronic serials exchange? I know that ARLIS list
has exchange lists, but is there a list that has serials exchange offers.
I've never seen any here on SERIALST, so I've assumed this ain't the place.

Thanks for any assistance,

Ed. note: It's true that messages for serials exchange offers are not
posted on SERIALST. The first paragraph of SERIALST's Scope and Purpose
statement (which is posted, bi-monthly, on the list) reads:

"SERIALST is not a forum for the trade or exchange of duplicate,
   unwanted, or wanted serials."

However, the topic of serials exchanges has come up on the list before,
and a number of messages regarding duplicate exchanges (i.e., various
vendor services, and various discussions about initiating a generic
listserv exchange service, et al.) have been logged in SERIALST's
archives. The archives are available for keyword searching via the
UVM gopher (gopher.uvm.edu / UVM Listserver Archives / SERIALST),
or through LDBASE search protocols for BITNET LISTSERV.

If new information is available, we would be happy to post it.
