In addition to barcoding new bound periodicals and to barcoding
on-the-fly volumes of periodicals which were not yet barcoded, the UCLA
Engineering and Math Sciences Library used data from a year-long journal
use project to list the most-heavily used periodical titles as
determined from that data.  All volumes for those titles were barcoded
and linked prior to implementing online circulation in hopes of limiting
on-the-fly circulations for titles for which heavy use was anticipated.
