Subject: question about Giornale d'Italia

Hi

can anybody help me find information about the exact publication history of
the Giornale d'Italia, a newspaper from Rome which was published between 1901
and 1976.  Our old catalog cards indicate that for a while (somewhere between
1946 and 1948) it was published as: Nuove giornale d'Italia, but we have not
been able to verify this information anywhere.  Maybe someone has better
information about this newspaper or can direct me to some better sources.
We have checked all the usual: Newspapers in microform, ULS, NUC, British
Library newspaper catalog, and various European newspaper bibliographies.
