Please respond to kammerer@lib.uwo.ca ; not to SERIALST.

Beginning with 1994, _The Journal of the American Medical Association_
is being distributed to countries outside the United States from
England. That poses no real problem but the edition for foreign
countries is quite different from the edition for the USA. For
instance, there is no advertising in the "international" edition
except for AMA publications. Normally, from a binding point of view,
I would welcome no ads. However, the ads were always included in the
pagination and if the international edition has no ads will the
pagination for the articles in the US edition and the international
edition be the same or will it be different. If it is different, what
edition will be indexed by the National Library of Medicine?

In order to do a spot check of the pagination in the two editions
could someone who has the US edition please respond with the beginning
page numbers for the following three articles found in the January 5,
1994 Vol.271 No.1 issue?

Dismal rehabilitation in geriatric inner-city hemodialysis
patients (begins on page 29 in the international edition)

Gene therapy and the hemophilias (begins on page 47 in the
international edition)

Dynamics of people without health insurance: Don't let the
numbers fool you (begins on page 64 in the international edition)

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
