IMPORTANT MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SERIAL LIBRARIANS, JOURNAL
PUBLISHERS, SUBSCRIPTION AGENTS, DOCUMENT DELIVERY SERVICES,
AUTOMATION CONSULTANTS and ILS VENDORS

     The SISAC meeting at ALA Midwinter will concentrate on the
ANSI/NISO Serial Item and Contribution Identifier (SICI) and
particularly on the application of the Contribution level in
document delivery and general article identification.  As we look
toward the revision of this standard, we want to be certain that
it reflects the needs of all interested parties.

     Where else would you schedule a meeting that runs from 8 to
10 p.m. in a safe (:-) town like LA?  In the convention center,
of course.  Please join us on Sunday, February 6, 1994, in the LA
Convention Center, Room 404B.  The meeting should provide
insights, some controversy, and a large group of folks to walk
everyone back to their hotels or a local bar at the end of the
meeting!!
