Colleagues,

I seem to make a habit of answering my own question: on another examination of
the proposed holdings standard I have noted that coding of the status data
area is indeed optional for levels 3 and 4 (pg. 23). I understand that
Mandatory applies if any of the elements are to be coded then all within the
area should be coded.

I would still appreciate hearing from NOTIS users who apply the standards I
mentioned in the previous message.
