Microfilm reader-printers
RALPH DALTON - REFERECE/PERIODICALS LIBRARIAN 14 Jun 1993 20:41 UTC
Can anyone out there recommend a microfilm reader-printer - preferably one that
they are most enthusiastic about?
Southwest Texas State University is a campus of 20,000 plus students. Here at
the Library's Periodical & Microforms Unit we have thirteen reader-printers,
all of which are heavily used due in part to the over 400 periodical titles
on microfilm.
We have been disappointed in the performance of our new Minolta 605s in what
seems to be an inordinate amount of downtime (continuous paper jams, worn &
broken parts, poor copy quality, etc.) and are looking for an alternative brand
or model. If anyone is currently using a microfilm reader-printer that they
have had success with and would be willing to pass along this information,
please drop me a line.
