When we started MicroLinx in 1987 we made the mistake of not extending the
delay period for claiming.  Subsequent to our setting up all our titles we
went throughthe entire database about a year later and doubled the delay
date for claiming each issue.  We found that (1) the mail in our part of
the country is slow sometimes, and (2) many journals are published with
more and more of a delay as time goes along.  After this change many of
our premature claims stopped coming up on our list.
