I am posting this announcement for a workshop to be held in conjunction
with the NASIG Annual Conference at Brown University in Providence, RI.
The workshop is to be held on June 9, 1993 at Brown.

Content:  An in-depth look at the new serials control module in 5.1.
Participants gain a thorough understanding of its functions and features
through an intensive demonstration in the morning session.  The afternoon
session is a "C/PR Clinic" or "Caption/Pattern Record Clinic, " (note: this
is NOTIS's term, not mine) exercises in determining and coding caption/
patterns for both standard and unusual pattern frequencies.

Audience:  Any library staff member who desires a better understanding of
the new serials control functionality and/or those who will be participants
in the implementation process.

Prerequisites:  General familiarity with serials control issues

Fee:  $125 per registrant for full day

This is workshop number L7093, session anticpated to run from 8:30-4:30.
