Dear Colleagues:

     The University of North Carolina Law Library staff will be imple-
menting an integrated system this June.  None of our collection has
been barcoded.  We would like to find out how other libraries handled
their barcoding projects.  We are especially concerned about how other
libraries handle unbound periodicals and non-print materials which
circulate.  Our unbound periodicals are currently placed in the reserve
room, and circulate very heavily.

     We will also be implementing the MARC Format for Holdings and
Locations for every item in the collection.

     We would appreciate any comments, insights, or problems that you
can give that may help us to develop a better project.  Please send
comments directly to me, and I will summarize for the list if there
is an interest for it.  Thank you.
