Edward Vielmetti suggested using photocopies of journal covers of current
check-ins to make a wall display for "browsing" of newly received titles.
When space forced us to end our "face-up" slanted shelving for current
titles, we moved to flat shelving - increasing our current issues shelving
by over one-third. But we set up a special area of three sections of
slanted shelves where each day's receipts are shelved. The next day, they
are moved to the flat shelves and newly checked-in titles replace them.
It is not perfect, but these shelves are very popular each day.
