A question has arisen here at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with
regard to institutional subscription rates.  The question is, how long have
publishers had different subscription rates for personal vs. institutional
subscriptions?  My impression is that this has been going on for several
decades.  Has anyone done any studies of this and have any results to
report?  Is anyone aware of any articles pointing to such a survey?
