The American University in Cairo Library needs to select
a stand-alone serials package for use during the next 3-6
years until we migrate to a new integrated system. We would
value first-hand reports from users of any off-the-shelf
serials software now on the market. We want check-in, claims,
records of orders and payments, fund analysis, bindery control,
statistical reports. It should import records in USMARC format
to generate printed lists by title, subject and fund. Ideally
it should be able to export USMARC format records, into the
integrated system we eventually choose. Professional Software's
"SERIAL CONTROL SYSTEM" is a package we'd especially like to
hear about. Our current subscriptions are around 2,000, plus
700 non-current titles.
