I have been aware for some time now that Interperiodica and Consultants
Bureau are both publishing translations of Russian journals.

Interperiodica seems to have the edge in both price and timeliness. The
prices are a little (or in some cases, quite a bit) lower and they claim
simultaneous publication with the Russian edition. Consultants Bureau
seems to have the edge in that they are the publisher of long-standing.

It is also my understanding that a suit has been filed by Consultants
Bureau in New York. Their claim is that they are the sole authorized
english-language publisher of these journals.

My vendors now want to know which edition we want to receive. They are
rightly not taking sides and say the decision is completly ours to make.

My question is: What have any of you done about this? Have you switched
to Interperiodica? Have their been any repercussions?

Thanks.
