accompanying demo disks with journals (Judy Johnson) 02 Oct 1992 16:15 UTC

We seem to be receiving a rash of disks accompanying journals. A recent
example is PROGRESSIVE ARCHITECTURE. Upon investigation, we discovered
it's a new way to advertise products.

Has anyone addressed this issue. What are you doing with the disks?
Keeping them? Inserting them in a pocket when binding the paper pieces?
Discarding?

One must be careful, of course. There are journals where the disk is
an integral part of the journal; i.e. OCLC MICRO.

Any enlightenment on what you are doing would be very helpful.
