Our Majors Continuations Dept. rep (to whom I am *most* grateful) called
today with an answer to both questions, to wit:

   American Entomological Society. Memoirs.:
       No. 39 was published within the last couple of months (pr.: $25.00).
   So all of us who've not rec'd. this through our respective vendors need
   to inquire, claim, and complain!!

   Memoirs of the American Entomological Institute:
       The Institute says there is *nothing* to the rumor that the Society's
   _Memoirs_ have been or will be absorbed by the Institute's _Memoirs_.  In
   fact, the Institute simply has been returning to the requestors whatever
   orders that have been coming to them for the Society's _Memoirs_.
