We handle all subscription items in one unit - monographic sets, series,
"continuations", journals, etc.  This has worked very well for us.  The
monographic acquisitions staff is not involved at all.  Our 2.5 FTE staff
handle over 5,500 subscriptions.  The 0.5 staff member handles most check-in,
the other two handle all billing and invoicing, cataloging for our union list,
changes to the check-in database (for title changes, cancellations, new titles,
etc.) and binding.
