As I plan for on-line check-in of serials, my mind turns toward the issue of
work stations.  In my past experiences, I never found a configuration that
was really comfortable for this operation.  It always seemed like we were
trying to juggle too many things: a stack of unrecorded issues, a stack of
recorded issues, pens/pencils, rubber stamps, a flat emply surface to write
on, etc.  I always seem to be trying to type with one hand while keeping an
issue open to the title page with my other hand (and half covering the
keyboard in the process).

Has anyone come up with a workable check-in station??
