Subject: Evaluating Serials Systems

We are in the process of evaluating the current and future status
of the automation of our serials collection. We have been using
Faxon's MicroLinx for serials in combination with DRA for all other
library services. We are looking carefully now at both systems to
decide on our future direction.

We have 2,200 current subscriptions; 1 full time professional
staff position; 2 full time support staff positions (1 newly
added and unfilled.)

We would appreciate hearing from anyone using either of these
systems, people who are in the process of reconsidering or re-
examining their serials choices and options, people who are
changing systems.

Where do serials fit in your current automation picture? And
where do you see them going?
