Library School Serials Instruction: Complaint HELEN P. MACK 29 Apr 1992 18:23 UTC

In reply to Kate McCain's comments about Drexel's "Serials Literature"
course... I took that course at Drexel during the Summer of 1974. It was
taught by a British woman (whose name I cannot recall) who was an adjunct. I
only wish the course had been as Kate described, but it was not. It was 100%
bibliometrics, not anything that I wanted or expected to learn. There was
nothing related to cataloging, collection development, management, etc. I
considered it a complete waste of my time, and I was annoyed at having to sit
through it.
