Arrangement of periodicals at Dartmouth:
In our largest (humanities/social sciences) library, journals and other
serials in our serials reading room are arranged by call number (1,000
highest-use titles); backfiles are by call number integrated with monographs.
Our larger graduate/professional libraries (medicine, physical sciences,
business/engineering) shelve journals alphabetically in both current display
and separate journal backfile shelving area.
