Our current display, bound backfiles, and microfilm are arranged by
classification number.  Our bound backfiles are shelved with the monographs.
We have not had any faculty complaints about this because I think they
appreciate the convenience of having journals from the same subject area
on the same floor with the monographs.

Three years ago our new director suggested shelving all bound journals on
the same floor.  However, once we pointed out the logistical impossibility
of moving journals from 4 floors to 1 he subsided.
