The change to a moderated list is one that I strongly support, as I expect you
you would assume.  People might be concerned that it removes an element of
spontaneity that exists in un-moderated lists, a certain freedom of expression
that encourages the free exchange of provocative thoughts and scholarly or
useful information.  But that is well within the control of the editors and
I'm sure that Marcia and you will want to encourage the free exchanges in a
reasonably orderly fashion.

Your decision should strengthen both the _Newsletter for Serial Pricing Issues_
and SERIALST.
