email privacy - per the anniversary message

I think that whether or not there is legal privacy for email is
probably irrelevant. If you send a message to SERIALST, it goes
to 655 people! That's not really private. Also, it's so easy
to forward, edit, whatever, any message that I'll go along with
something I saw in an unknown article about email:
"Never send anything via email that you wouldn't want to see
on the front page of The Chronicle of Higher Education."
