Re: Multiple MFHDs on the same bibliographic record
It's not only possible, it's probably mandatory. If you have different copies
or formats attached to the same bib record then they belong on different
MFHDs. Take a look at the VTLS system at the next ALA. They addressed this
issue over six years ago when they brought up coded holdings on their system.
If programmed correctly, a system should be able to take the location and
copy information from the 852 fields on the different MFHDs and display a menu
of holdings records attached to the single bib record.
