 Marsha, I asked our Japanese studies cataloger/subject specialist about a
 good Japanese newspaper and she came up with several titles, 3 published
 in Japan, one in Los Angeles.  The Japanese publications:  Asahi Shinbun,
 a paper received by our Center of Asian Studies office (ASU); Yomiuri
 Shinbun; Mainichi Shinbun.  She personally subscribes to The Rafu Shimpo
 out of Los Angeles, claiming the quality is good while remaining fairly
 inexpensive.
