We at Texas Woman's University do involve the faculty of each department in the
ordering of serials.  Each Spring semester, the department representative is
sent a list of current subscription for review to add or drop.  With a flat
budget and inflation, the dept is asked to keep the same number of titles.  If
there is an urgent need, an old title must be dropped to replace a new one.
General periodicals are selected by professional librarians, and so are index
and abstract titles.  We also add new titles based on interlibrary loan
demands.
