Here's a question from our Documents specialist, Mary Walton, for those
of you who have binding responsibilities:
It seems that many issues of the N.O.A.A. Local Climatological Data
Monthly Summaries have virtually no available margins for binding. We
are wondering whether any of you have found a method of binding which
preserves all the statistical data? We've considered binding them across
the bottom--except that we would need to slit all the issues (LOTS!!)
which are folded in the center. We also thought about three-ring binders,
but the sheer number of the little buggers makes this impractical. And
we considered reducing them on the photocopier--but we couldn't afford
the copying bill, and besides, we'd have to provide magnifying glasses to
read them! Even attaching extra margins is out due to the sheer number
of issues involved.
Does anyone have a solution to share with Mary? Please reply to me,
and I'll pass your suggestions on. Thanks for the help!!
