More troublesome publishers Susan Davis 01 May 1991 20:07 UTC

Have other libraries experienced major difficulties with the Conference
Board and Conference Board in Canada publications? They continually
change titles, cease, start new publications which last only for a few
issues and never respond to claims. We pay $1200 for 2 memberships
and do not feel we are seeing good value for our money. There is every
likelihood we will cancel these memberships (a politically drasitic
move, the Management School likes the idea of being a member) and
order selective titles. Sometimes you wonder if customer service in
America is becoming a "cs" word (like the "l" word, etc.)??? And my
apologies to those companies, institutions and individuals who do
practice real service.
