In reply to Joyce Ogburn's query about accounts reconciliation:
At the University of Kentucky, the University's Accounting Office issues
monthly (paper copy) ledgers which our Acquisitions staff reconciles against
our own records (monthly).  The book budget is not encumbered at the University
level,  only on the library's local automated acquisition system
(ACQ350).  Therefore, the University ledgers reflect only allocation,
expenditures, and credits (but not encumbrances).
