Re: Current issue shelving question

At Virginia Commonwealth University libraries, we shelve all bound journals by
title, and unbound issues are shelved in the same arrangement, in a separate
periodicals room. The librarians are theoretically in favor of classifying
these titles, but we have yet to figure out a way to do it that would not
completely disrupt all of our other back-logged special projects. Does anyone
have experiences they would be willing to share? Is there a miraculous
short-cut that we haven't considered? It is apparent, from the recent responses
, that there is no real standard being followed out there. What a surprise.
