Re: Current issue shelving question

Here at SUNY Morrisville, We donot classify our serials. All older serials
are shelved in the serials stacks by title on the main floor of the library.
We have a separate reading room where upto four of the most recent issues are
kept. After that the loose issues are put in princeton files with the older
issues until they are bound or microfilm is received. I have worked in several
libraries that shelved serial by call number. I much prefer shelving by title
even though we have to contend with title changes.
