Subject: ISME Yearbook

In response to David A. Day re the ISME Yearbook.

The ISME Yearbook ceased publication with the 1988 issue (Yearbook 15),
which was made availbale in 1989.  This is being replaced by the ISME
Conference Proceedings.  The first issue will cover paper presented at the
1990 ISME World Conference in Helsinki, and will be approximately 400 pages.
According to our information, the price will be $30.00.  This is supposed to
be available early in 1991, although we have not seen copies yet.  This
information comes from Elizabeth Smith, administrator of the ISME
International Office, which is located in the U.K. at the University of
Reading.  After having had some tremendous difficulties in obtaining
previous editions of the ISME Yearbook, when distribution was transferred,
we are now once again handling standing orders for this edition.
