I have considered Ulrich's the necessary standard acquisitions tool
for serials here at Columbia University since I have been in Serials
Acquisitions here-- the past 20+ years.  We don't use it as much as we
did before online databases came onto the scene and became so
comprehensive, but I still find it useful and more complete and
accurate than anything else I know about, especially since it combined
with Irregular Serials and Annuals into one alphabet.
