NYU's serials cataloger who is not "wired" but reads messages that I
print out for him replys:
1.NSD is cataloging electronic journals using the serials format rather
than computer files format because CONSER requires the use of serials
format for serials in all physical media...
2. OCLC does not permit the cataloging of remote access materials as the
library does not "hold" them which is why the CIP record didn't have
holdings and won't
3. There are scores of titles recataloged by LC based on the modified
LCRI for title changes as LC attempted to do a clean-up/merge of the
type mentioned by T.Sanders
