I don't know that comparing service charge percentages is an entirely fair comparison. My understanding is that the service charges imposed by subscription agents are based on an institution's subscription list as well as the services they are requesting from said agent. My service charge might be quite high or quite low in comparison to another institition's, but there are so many factors I wouldn't consider a 1-to-1 comparision an effective method of determining if I'm receiving a fair service charge.
