MARCit records for SFX: CJK problems? Kay Teel 31 Jul 2015 18:44 UTC

We use the MARCit service from Ex Libris to load MARC records for
e-journals in the packages we have access to via SFX.
Beginning a few weeks ago, MARCit records with CJK vernacular scripts
that are either loaded as new or updated are not displaying the
characters correctly. The CJK characters are replaced by garbled
characters. Example packages affected include CiNii and TKN East View
China Academic Journals. We did not have this problem before June or
July of this year.

We are trying to determine if the problem is with our system's record
loader or is on Ex Libris's end, but there are several variables at
play.
If there is anyone else receiving MARCit records for CJK material,
please, can you let me know if you're having similar problems with
garbled characters?

Thank you so much for your help,
