Dear SERIALST subscribers,

We are stunned and saddened to have to announce the death of Birdie
MacLennan, the founder and listowner of SERIALST.  Birdie died
yesterday, after a very brief illness, at the age of 57. We will send
more details as they become known.

Please feel free to send remembrances to the list.
