NOTSL will hold its Fall Meeting at the Kent State University Main Campus Student Center located in Kent, Ohio.
The program, entitled “The Real Transformers: How E-Resources are Shaping Technical Services,” will focus on how e-resources are changing technical services, particularly with regard to staffing, workflow, budget, and collection management.
We will have two keynote speakers: Sara Simpson, Technical Services Manager from the Tulsa City-County Library; and Deberah England, Electronic Resources Librarian at Wright State University.
Sara Simpson will speak on e-resources workflows, staffing, and budget as they pertain to public libraries.
Deberah England will speak on managing e-resources within academic technical services areas.
In the afternoon, we will have a panel discussion with speakers addressing e-resources with regard to Overdrive, ContentDM, and record loading and management.
Panelists will be Patricia Lowrey (Cleveland Public Library), Ron Gardner (OCLC), and Carrie Preston (Ohio University).
Lunch and parking are included in the registration fee.
