PubMed and link resolvers Dawn Stephen 14 Dec 2011 18:24 UTC

Hello.
We have received numerous reports that when PubMed citation data is sent
through a link resolver, the link resolver is not able to identify known
content that is owned by the library. As a result of several reports
received, we suspect that this problem is happening because PubMed sends
an E-ISSN to link resolvers, and the default issn coming from link
resolver knowledge bases (III WebBridge and 360 Link, in particular) is
often the PRINT issn. Has anyone else noticed this problem? If so, how
have you dealt with it at the link resolver/knowledge base level? Thank you.
