Re: All eJournals titles in EZproxy?

There are only certain publishers/access providers that require an entry for each title - Sage and Oxford being the ones that come to the top of my mind. That's also not a complete config entry for each one, it's a list of hosts under the Sage config, so each title needs just one line of code.
For most other titles, a higher level will cover them. For example, we don't proxy journal titles in Metapress - we just proxy Metapress. That covers about 30 titles right there.
Same with databases - most of the providers have many databases working under one configuration.
I don't know how many individual journal titles we have specific proxy stanzas for, but I don't think it's an unreasonable amount to maintain once set up.
And you know where to get configurations, right? OCLC has a list at http://www.oclc.org/us/en/support/documentation/ezproxy/db/. It's not comprehensive, but it's got most of the big players, and if you're really stuck, there's always the EZ Proxy listserv, where you'll read more techno-speak than you could possibly need.

Subject: [SERIALST] All eJournals titles in EZproxy?
Do a majority of other academic libraries put entries for every eJournal publisher domain and publication title URL they subscribe to into their EZproxy Configuration file? I have the proxy URL prefix added automatically to our OpenURL. If the eJournal Publisher and URL are not in the config file the patron will receive an error. It just seems like there should be an easier way than an entry for each eJournal Title.
Most of my journals are purchase through EbscoNet.
OpenURL = Linksource
A to Z index = EBSCO A-to-Z
Proxy = EZproxy 5.3
