I did a poster session on this topic at NASIG in 2009.  We had the same problem because we have a lot of local newspapers on microfilm, government documents, and other titles that don't always have ISSNs.  After many calls and emails to Serials Solutions to try to find a way to accomodate those titles, they told me I could use the OCLC number instead.  First, I began with a list of the titles in question.  Then, I created urls that would link to the catalog record by OCLC number.  When testing the linking from Worldcat, it worked about 61% of the time.  It worked even a little better if I also included what our holdings are for the title.

	We upload a list of our currently received periodicals to A-to-Z quarterly.  At this point, we include just the titles and the ISSN.  We've thought about including holdings information, but due to the labor that would be required and the fact that users can just link back to the catalog record, we have not included the detailed holdings. 	We have EBSCO A-Z, which currently lists online titles only. I was wondering if many libraries include print holdings in their A-Z lists, and if so, how often they update them?
