ERM products Williams, Mary 02 Feb 2011 20:26 UTC

We have a home-grown ERM that provides with some very basic functions,
such as storing URLs and record keeping. While it provides an A-Z
listing of resources, it is not searchable.

The person who developed our EMS has moved on and we're anticipating
purchase of a commercial system. We, like everyone else, have limited
resources as well as limited staff. While we are highly competent
people, we are called upon to perform functions other than technical
service.

If you would care to offer some assistance, we'd like to know the
following about your ERM:
	What is it?
Is it part of your ILS or a separate package?
	What are its functions?
	Were there implementation issues?
Does it do what you need?
	Does it require much maintenance?
Does maintenance require a highly technical background?
With what other programs does it interact?
What do you wish it would do that it does not?
	What is its greatest strength?
	What is its greatest weakness?
Would you suggest it for purchase?

Feel free to add anything that you feel helpful.

Responding directly to me is fine. All replies will be treated with the
utmost respect.

Thanks, community. You're the best.

Mary
