CRCC Informal Test of RDA: An Invitation to Join
Jennifer Young 23 Sep 2010 21:48 UTC
Greetings Colleagues,
The ALCTS CRS Continuing Resources Cataloging Committee (CRCC) was initially
formed to provide feedback during the implementation of AACR2. We have been
asked to take up this role again with the proposed changes brought forth in
RDA. Thus, the CRCC has created a Task Force to informally test RDA. All
records will become part of the RDA Extra Set. At the end of the informal
test, the Co-Chairs will complete the Informal Testers Survey with comments
from the Task Force.
We are looking for both testers and reviewers. Each tester should contribute
at least five MARC records. Each reviewer should review at least ten records
for compliance with RDA.
All participants must be 1) members of ALA; and 2) continuing resources
catalogers.
Time frame: October 1-11 (orientation); October 11-November 30 (submissions
& review); December 1-10 (evaluation)
Submit an application and see more details at:

All applications must be submitted by Friday, Oct. 8.
The Task Force will be hosting a webinar on Tues. Oct. 5, from 1-2:30pm CST
to further discuss the testing process and answer questions. This webinar
