Just joined your list.  No offense intended but I had to double check the
date on Ken's post because I thought I was reading a message posted in the
early 90's.

I work in a university library.  We have not used sticks since the very
early 90's.  Our newspapers are stapled together and put out on a shelf in
our reading area.  We keep only 1 month of issues.  We do not have problems
with missing issues, or people tearing pieces out.

Ken, good luck with your trial.  I hope you get to leave the sticks behind.
