Re: Age Line no longer a free database

Hi Joanne,
I know that the content in AGELINE is unique and valuable, so I did a
little more digging to see if alternative resources could make up for
the missing free data file. I found a web site by Valery King at
Oregon State in which she writes: A library with PsycINFO,
Sociological Abstracts and MEDLINE may in fact provide enough coverage
of gerontology to satisfy most researchers. (accessed 1/5/10 at
http://udlibsearch.lib.udel.edu/anss/ageline.html).
Last month we discovered that AARP’s AGELINE is no longer free.
After some digging, I found out it was purchased by EBSCO over the
summer.
Sincerely,
Liz Lorbeer
